I go on safari to the Red Sea twice a year and have been on various boats. The Spirit of Omneia was my first time on the Spirit of Omneia and this boat will be my absolute favourite in the future. That Moni Hofbauer had a weighty word when building the boat and especially when furnishing it, you notice immediately. Enormous space for all divers available. Everything furnished with love and style. Large berths even with own refrigerator. Huge dive deck where everyone passes each other. Top service and extremely friendly crew. With Moni and Sven two absolute professionals who make diving an experience. What more can I say. For me the Spirit of Omneia will be the first choice in the future. Many thanks to Moni, Sven and the crew.

After one week, I extended by one week at short notice. Great ship, great crew, best food and then alone with such a great ship on the reef. You just have to experience that.
Everything just fit perfectly and there is nothing to complain about.
Anytime again

On the Omneia we had a great holiday. The entry into the country worked out without any problems. Shortly after getting off the plane everybody had to show the filled out health card (will be distributed in the plane, we already received it from you) and the covidtest. I forgot my covid test in paper at home (put it in the wrong folder), but then I simply showed the Egyptian official my mobile phone, there I had the mail from the lab, whereupon I was waved through without any problems. As we saw then at the airport in Hurghada, the Egyptians are well equipped with thermal imaging cameras and test stations. The other passengers were actually the biggest problem, but even there most of them kept their distance and wore masks. On the way there the plane was well loaded (about 80%), on the way back we were picked up with an A330, which had much more space and was about half loaded. In Hurghada we were the only plane that took off at that time, the airport was empty.

Transfer from and to the boat was as usual. The Omneia is a great ship that really leaves nothing to be desired. On the huge boat with many berths you always find a place for yourself if you want to. The master cabin offered a great panoramic view and is very spacious and comfortable. During the briefing there were always several options presented, from which each buddy team could then choose their dive, that was a huge plus and I have never had that before. Also the fact that dinner is served outside was wonderful. The fact that the owner personally goes on board is something special and gives the boat a personality that the other boats cannot match (I have been on several different boats). Moreover, even the Zodiac and boat crew speaks German, so in the end you really know the whole crew by name.
We were able to enjoy the Brothers and Daedalus, where normally 25 boats or even more are moored, alone or almost alone, which was of course unique.
Back in Zurich we made a Covid test directly at the airport and had the result 24 hours later. Since Egypt is not on the Swiss risk list, I didn't really have to do one, but I wanted to be on the safe side because of the work. We did not have to do a quarantine or anything like that.

All in all, our conclusion is that if you do not belong to the risk group, you can travel to Egypt very well from our point of view even in the current situation. Sure, you have to take the Covid test, but you will be rewarded with the best dive sites on the Red Sea that you have for yourself. A unique chance.

"Sensational" probably best describes the Spirit of Omneia! Through Corona and Moni's kindness I was allowed to inhabit the ship for almost 4 weeks and experience a legendary time I will never forget! Also other boats look nice but due to the love for detail and the functional practical areas there is no increase for me. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel on the Red Sea and did not pay a fortune for it.
Whether it's the greenery of real plants, the high quality and comfortable seating, the comfortable cabins with panoramic views from the bathroom and sleeping area, the rich and incredibly delicious meals in the dining room and every evening under the stars...the Spirit of Omneia is the best boat on the Red Sea for me! I love it! 1000% to recommend it!!

One week on the Spirit of Omneia -
Egypt has been my second home for more than 20 years. After I had done my mischief there many years ago as a dive guide and instructor, I have seen a lot of boats come and go. As a convinced Omneia-booker it was clear to me - this boat is exactly mine. I am thrilled. Not only from the unbelievable amount of space - I especially appreciate the large cabins with lots of daylight, as most of the cabins are on the upper decks - but also from the service of the whole crew and simply the "spirit" of the ship. The name really says it all here, Moni has turned a "big barge" into a cosy safari ship with charisma, without clean overstyling. You simply feel at home - once you have got the different decks under control.

The crew is particularly noteworthy. A well-rehearsed team that literally reads every wish from your eyes and is always on hand when it's freezing cold around the ears after the TG and you want to hang up your suit in the icy cold February wind. You can't turn around that quickly, but the suit is taken out of your hand and hung up. But - never pushy - that is very important to me personally.

We all agree during this week - the chef should be sued! The food was so much and much too good that I actually skipped one or the other meal because I was still too full and I wanted to keep the "hip damage" within reasonable limits.

3 dives per day - if necessary one more night TG - this is almost standard by now. I am satisfied with 3 TGs thick - while the others go back into the water I prefer to order a cocktail and enjoy the ship on one of the comfortable sofas on the upper deck. The bar is well sorted, it's definitely not worth bringing something for yourself.

A highlight of the day is the dinner at the long table outside on the upper deck. All guests at one table, often we stay seated and rattle until the dolls, that's how comfortable it is there. Every evening is culinary under a different motto, so there was from steak (to the point!!) with hand-scraped Spätzle over shrimps and fish up to the oriental evening with very good Egyptian food variety without end.

Moni and the dive guides Michael and Hasan of course do a great job when diving - you can dive guided, but you don't have to. We are only experienced divers on board, but we do enjoy diving behind the boat and don't care where it is. At least I do...

To the reef selection - Moni has always been good at timing, so we are usually alone on the reef, only divers from the Spirit in the water - very pleasant.
Most of the time we go to the reef with one of the two Zodiacs, which are also immediately on the spot when surfacing, and even less agile, not starving divers like me shuffle into the Zodiac with the least embarrassment ... how they do it will be a mystery to me forever!

Conclusion - it was a fantastic week, even though the water is still fresh in February. But the Spirit on the Spirit of Omneia makes up for everything. I can only recommend it to everyone to experience this spirit for themselves. You will not regret it!

In any case, I am looking forward like a schnitzel to the 10-day tour in October!

I attended Spirit three times last year. Before that, I had the opportunity to gain extensive experience on at least 15 other safari boats. The boat is unique. Starting with the huge amount of space everywhere, over the brilliant boat owner who is usually on board as a guide herself, to the hand-picked crew. For me the best boat in the Red Sea

Not the first tour and certainly not the last with the Spirit of Omneia.
Even individual requirements are taken into consideration, such as Tec diving, special spots or even when eating........ best recommendation

As usual first-class Omneia service, the team is super busy and tries to fulfill all your wishes.
This is what a liveaboard must be like.
Super spacious, very good water conditions. The solution with dining room in the lower deck is very good. If the weather is suitable, we always dine outside. A lot of effort for the crew, brilliant added value for the fellow travellers. I give my unrestricted recommendation. The only criticism: because of the perfect package, we don't really feel like not choosing the Spirit and Omneia anymore.

You feel comfortable as soon as you get on the ship. It is simply a great ship and a very well thought-out boat in terms of the layout. I felt very comfortable.
