The safari was really good... At first I was skeptical when I heard that both divers and anglers were on board the Avalon.
It turned out that this combination actually has something charming about it.
Because when the divers arrived for breakfast, around 7:00 a.m., the anglers were all already out and didn't return until late afternoon, so there were hardly any points of contact during the diving operation. We only met up again for dinner and there was plenty to talk about.
There is a lot going on underwater, we were escorted by sharks on every dive, but the diving area around Jardines de la Reine also has a lot to offer in other respects.

A perfect week on the Avalon with perfect dive guides, great care and excellent service. All (!!! - you rarely have that on a week-long safari these days - !!!) dive sites deserve between 4 and 5 stars. However, you have to be able to dive with sharks and like it, because they are always there - from the first jump to the last time you take off your fins. The general rule in the Jardines de la Reina is: big fish party! For photographers: If you really want to, you can take a macro with you, but you probably won't need it. Only 4 stars for safety, as not much emphasis was placed on a buoy when surfacing in a channel with boat traffic. We had our own for 12 dives. What was new for us was the concept of mixing anglers (catch & release) and divers on the boat. This meant that we didn't just talk shop about diving and created a pleasantly small group size for diving with all the advantages of a large boat. All in all, a very successful experience - we'd love to do it again, in fact we'd love to do it right away ;-)
