My week with the Aggressor IV was incredible. At first I was a bit anxious as I had not done any trip like that one before and thought maybe a week full of diving will be too much. However, I ended up doing all dives except for the night dives (as I personally do not like them too much) and could have stayed on the ship far longer. I was lucky to have my own cabin as we ended up being 18 divers instead of the ship's full capacity of 20 and of course, it was great to have the space all to myself. The cabins are big enough to store your things and they get cleaned twice a day. The crew did a great job with the food. It was fresh, delicious, and they made sure to prepare new dishes on a daily basis. I was surprised by how well it was organized. Breakfast was ready before our first dive, snacks were provided for the time in between dives, and lunch and dinner were amazing as well. I am a vegetarian and always got my own side to replace the meat the others had. Finally, I even got a birthday cake without even asking for it, which was incredibly thoughtful.

The dive masters and the whole crew made sure we were safe at all times. They briefed us well, always asked if we needed anything or if we had questions, and made sure we have an amazing time under water. Our tanks were always full before we started the next dive and they even had towels ready for after the dive, ear drops, etc. I brought medication in case I would get sick but even that would have been there on-site.

A huge thank you to the whole crew: Jerry, Zander, Elia, Alex E., Alex N., Stewart, Ruth and finally, Captain Daniel. I did not think I would spent such an amazing week on the ship. It was truly unforgettable.

The cabins are very no and outdated, the drawers are stuck or you can not open them at all, in the bathroom the lavabo is not properly anchored to the wall, toilet flush works only sporadically, shower spray was defective.
During night dives there is no staff on the upper deck of the boat to look out for divers (as I know it from other liveaboards), which may appear at the sides of the boat. They just wait at the back of the boat.
The reefs are broken or dying. There are hardly any fish and no schools of fish. What is present are various kinds of sponges, but no colored ones. It is all very shallow dives, up to max 15-20 meters, a lot of diving on sea grass meadows and sand banks. Mostly there is diving at isolated coral sticks, but as mentioned, they are extremely broken. (There I can save the long journey and dive at the Red Sea e.g. at the Brothers).
Reason for the dead reefs are hurricanes, coral bleaching, careless divers and since approx. 4-5 years there is apparently this coral death (spread over the whole Caribbean) caused by a bacterium, which is still examined at present. I cannot recommend the boat or the dive sites in Belize, especially for experienced divers. Unfortunately Belize was a big disappointment. Too bad !!! There are travel agencies that have deleted Belize from their offer, now I know why.

Aggressor are the only providers in Belize, which has a (negative) impact on both pricing and service.

The Aggressor IV has certainly seen better days and there were 2 technical problems. The departure had been delayed and there was only "Nitrox" 24%.

At least we were not on the Agessor III, here fellow travelers told us that both from the cabins and the condition were even worse.
The reef is (still) intact, but both the visibility and the fish population were not as expected because of the Hurican in November.
On each dive there was only one "guide" in the water, which meant that most of the 19 divers followed him.

Furthermore there are no "participation restrictions" ! One lady was over 70 and had just done her Open Water in freshwater.............
