We felt comfortable and safe on the Thailand Master. The food was always excellent and the team was well organized and helpful.
The guides were a bit mixed. There were some who were great. However, there was also one guide who was very uninterested, didn't show or indicate anything and didn't pay attention to his group during the dives.
The diving was well structured. There were enough guides on board and we dived in small groups.
What we and the other guests disliked a little was the forced day off in the middle of the 10-day safari, when you were banned from the boat between 9am and 4pm. This was not communicated transparently in advance (none of the guests knew about it and everyone felt very offended). This would certainly have been a decisive point against this tour for us.
In terms of comfort, the available relaxation areas, the dining area, the cabins, etc., the Thailand Master is significantly inferior to other boats we know. Fortunately, there were only 12 people on the boat. I wouldn't have wanted to be on the tour with a full 18 people. Acoustically, it is also one of the worse boats (room decoupling).
The very good air conditioning in the cabins and the presence of a hairdryer in the cabin are positive.
Overall, we explored some beautiful dive sites on the safari and gained many impressions. It is certainly worth doing the tour.
However, we would describe the price-performance ratio as rather poor. Compared to many other boats that are much more comfortable, including the dive deck, space and included services (extra charge for Nitrox) etc., we found the Thailand Master to be (too) expensive.
