Devocean dive center is one of the better ones on Malapasqua. You have to get used to it a little at first, as it seems a bit chaotic. However, this is due to the fact that a lot of one/two-day tourists come here and want to dive. I had one guide the whole week, who always dived with me. There were a maximum of 3 other divers. Very good guide, had a lot of fun under and above water. He really took care of everything. The deckhands on the boat were also very helpful.
The three sites I dived at were Kimud Shoal, Monad Shoal and Gato Island.
Kimud Shoal, the spot for thresher sharks. Unfortunately, you have to be one of the first divers in the morning to be able to watch the sharks without being disturbed. Unfortunately, there are a lot of divers and many inexperienced divers. Unfortunately, you have to accept that the island lives mainly from this. What is bad, however, are the reckless divers who tend to chase the sharks away in search of the best shot. It's either down to the briefing or the recklessness, unfortunately it's not nice.
Dive site number two after the thresher sharks is always Monad Shoal. Here you only try to spot tiger sharks. You need a lot of luck for this. We didn't see any on 5 days of diving. Overall, I don't think it's responsible to let novice divers dive there. If a big tiger comes up to you, you should know how to interact. But where there is no plaintiff (or victim), there is no judge.
Probably the best place for Makro was Gato Island. Beautiful caves to dive through and an incredible number and variety of nudibranchs. Really nice dive site!
Oh, night dive. Highly recommended. The highlight was definitely the mandarin fish, but there were other cool things to see too.
