The room is basic, but adequate. The mattresses were very good, which is nice if you have back problems. For the coffee machine you could only get cups in the restaurant and not in stores. That makes it more expensive.
The food in the restaurant was good in terms of quality, but very few vegetables and limited vegetarian (certainly not vegan)
Staff was very helpful. Upon arrival, the restaurant was already closed at 20:00 and stores are not nearby. So that was a downside.
The dive base and staff was fine and also very helpful. However, there was no description of the dive sites other than our own. It is wise to bring a compass at some of the other sites though, as there is only a small entrance to the bay.
The dive sites were a bit disappointing, but then again maybe we have seen too much at other sites. We are spoiled divers and compare with Asia (Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia), Egypt and Bonaire among others. The state of the coral was not so good and there was much less life than for example on Bonaire.
If you go purely for diving, we do not recommend Curacao, then you better go to Bonaire. If you also go to do things above water, then Curacao is a pleasant island.
