I usually dive a lot in the Canary Islands, so I already had an idea of what the dive sites in the Atlantic were like. Diving around Santo Antao is different and beautiful nonetheless—I really enjoyed it. Nurse sharks, pufferfish, sea turtles, lots of trumpetfish and filefish, conger eels, black corals… and there’s an abundance of other fish, too! We were a small group, and Ricardo went above and beyond to ensure everyone had the best experience possible. The boat and equipment, the briefings, and the guiding were all perfect for me—I’d love to go back! We dive in the morning because the wind gets too strong afterward. Thanks also to Ricardo for going above and beyond to arrange a guide for exploring the island :-)!
