We spent 13 nights at the Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort. It is a small, quiet resort with only 5–7 rooms. The pool and garden area is beautifully landscaped and well-maintained, and the beach and boat docks are located right in front of the resort.
Our room was spacious and well-equipped: air conditioning, very fast Wi-Fi, a balcony, a safe, and a separate table for camera equipment—including charging options (German outlets)—were all provided. Additionally, the resort had another area specifically for camera equipment. The bathroom was rather small but functionally furnished with a shower, toilet, and sink.
The food at the resort was consistently delicious. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner (with appetizers, main courses, and desserts in the evening), you could choose from several dishes. There was always something suitable for vegetarians, and personal requests were accommodated flexibly.
The entire staff was consistently very friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent.
The approximately 10-hour ferry transfer from Batangas (coming from Manila) to Romblon was very pleasant and well-organized, thanks to the option to sleep in a separate cabin. All meeting points with the drivers were clearly communicated in advance.
The dive center and its guides are located right at the resort and also impressed us. A more detailed review can be found under “Romblon Fun Divers.”
If you’re looking for a quiet resort with a warm atmosphere and excellent macro/muck diving opportunities, this is the perfect place for you. We really enjoyed our stay. Would we come back or recommend the resort? Absolutely!
