Anyone who comes to Romblon to dive wants to see the Melibe Colemani—and that’s exactly what happens here: During the check dive, it was the first thing we saw, even before the camera was turned on, so our vacation got off to a relaxed start ????
The dive center is exceptionally well-organized. At the start, they asked about our preferences (macro/muck diving or reef/fun dives) and divided the groups and boats accordingly. Our guide looked after 1–2 divers.
Our guide was fantastic: very experienced, with an impressive eye for critters you’d never spot on your own. He also gave us lots of helpful tips on underwater photography.
In the evenings, we reviewed the day’s dives together (including identifying the species we’d seen) and planned the next day. Typically, there were two dives in the morning; additional dives in the afternoon or as night dives could be decided on a flexible basis.
The dive sites (especially macro & muck) were varied, and we discovered new species of nudibranchs on nearly every dive. Conditions were pleasant: mostly little to no current and rarely deeper than 20 m. Before each dive, there was a clear briefing right on the boat.
The service was top-notch as well: our own gear was prepared daily and brought to the boat. A defective O-ring on the regulator was quickly repaired, so we could dive with it again the next day (a replacement for the current dive was available on the boat and was provided immediately). The entire crew was always friendly, helpful, and very attentive.
We were completely satisfied with the dive sites, the guide, and the entire organization, and felt well taken care of at all times.
