To Fuvahmulah we are primarily for diving with tiger sharks. And that is spectacular and well organized. You sit in the group on the sandy bottom, then in some distance the fish waste is left from the boat and already the tiger sharks are there. The dive guides are always very careful and sometimes move the fish scraps if they get too close to the dive group. Nevertheless, the tigers come very close so that they can be perfectly photographed. They are never touched or hand fed, which we find extremely good. Here the sharks are the stars and not some guide who dares to feed or touch the shark. We hope this will be kept up!
On the rest of the dives there was not much going on. A single turtle, moray eels, colourful reef fish and intact corals. Unfortunately we didn't see any thresher sharks, although we went to the spots of these elegant hunters a few times. But as we said, the tiger sharks are the main attraction, everything else is an encore. Besides, one must not forget, it is the sea and not a zoo. We are happy about what we experienced!
