It was a wonderful liveaboard trip with the Febrina. Although getting to Rabaul was a bit of a hassle, it was well worth the effort. We saw so many fantastic dive sites teeming with fish, especially around the Tanga Islands and near Kavieng (Albatros Passage and Helmut’s Reef). It was also nice to dive in a small group without the crowds—Lucas was a consistently dedicated guide.
The Febrina is a bit older and designed more for practicality (it lacks a large sun deck), but it has charm. On top of that, there’s a very friendly crew, including Captain Allan, who can only be described as a character. It was also nice that we had the opportunity to visit islands and villages, so we experienced a lot above water as well.

So if you appreciate personalized diving in an exotic setting with a dash of adventure,
the Febrina is just the thing for you. It goes without saying that you’re always the only boat on site.
