The dive sites we visited were all beautiful in their own way. Sometimes we had rock formations, sometimes Neptune grass, the odd crevice, a small to large cave or passageway and at one dive site even a sandy bottom.
There is a lot to see from small fish to huge perch, from small nudibranchs to large sea hares, from small hermit crabs to large bear crabs, from pairs of fish to large schools of barracuda and once even dolphins (on the surface from the boat).
The base managers Esther and Rino and their young team are very competent and do a great job.
At the base, you slip into your wetsuit and take a leisurely walk down to the harbor. There, the equipment is waiting for us to assemble and is then loaded onto the boat with bottle holders by the guides. After a short boat trip (max. 15 minutes for the furthest dive spot) we reach our destination. The briefing also takes place there. You then get ready for the dive together and drop backwards from the dinghy into the sea.
Even if the boat is full, everything is very relaxed and structured. It's always fun and you get the feeling that you're "diving together" and that the guides aren't "just doing their job". And be careful: if Rino is on the boat with you, it's easy to fly into the water a few times ????.
After the dive, you return to the boat via the small ladder. You also have enough time afterwards if you want or need to use the bathroom. Then it's back to the harbor, where, on a second dive, the compressed air tank is changed on land and the equipment is loaded back onto the boat. The surface interval is spent in the comfortably furnished, shaded sitting area in the diving center with water, fruit and sweets. Once there were even small filled rolls.
At the end of the diving day, you can rinse your wetsuit in a small plastic basin with fresh water and hang it on the clothes rack to dry. The rest of the equipment is rinsed by the guides for the guests. In the evening, the clothes racks are locked in the store and put back outside early in the morning.
We can't say anything about the rental equipment as we dive with our own equipment. But what we saw made a good impression.
