The hotel in in decay. We are a returning guest for several years and things get worse every year. Doors don't close, showers fall apart, ... They have started renovations to another part of the hotel and lobby area, which led to the restaurant being closed. Therefore lunch had to be taken with around 1000 other guests, leading to long waiting times. Not happy, as we especially booked in LTI to avoid this. But this might be fixed when the renovations are over. The food buffet was not as we remember it from previous years. Variation was reduced, for a 2 week holiday, you start to have the impression you eat the same every day. After complaining, we received additional slots in the a la carte restaurants, but then again they are not much better. Drinks are awful. They only serve local drinks (spirits, wines, softdrinks). For such an expensive hotel this is unacceptable, you can at least expect some decent international softdrinks. We also expect more variation and especially a much higher food quality. Staff is very friendly and doing a great job, but this doesn't make the food better. The dive center is top notch, including the team/staff. I hope the hotel relaunches and takes our comments at heart so the dive center can flourish as they deserve.
