Very nice complex with lots of trees that protect from the sun and guarantee privacy and a great pool. The bungalows are spacious with a great open bathroom, very good air conditioning and the beds are super comfortable. There is a minibar, a kettle with coffee and tea and peanuts are replenished regularly. When you are welcomed, you are given a metal bottle with your name on it, which you can fill with water in the restaurant. If you don't fancy the pool, you can easily go swimming or snorkeling in the sea.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. We got to know Doris, who built the resort and who was also on hand with help and advice and is just super nice.
We had booked half board. For breakfast there is home-baked bread and rolls, jam, egg dishes, juices, fruit, fried noodles or rice. For dinner, you can choose between à la carte and buffet. For dinner, you meet beforehand for a drink and then eat together in the open air from 7:30 pm, which I really enjoyed. However, you can also eat earlier or alone if you don't fancy company.
The spa is very tastefully decorated and offers a wide range of treatments.
The only negative point for us at Alam Batu was that there is no wifi in the bungalow, only in the restaurant and by the pool.
