The Rohanou is clean, the food is good and varied, although sometimes a little boring for vegetarians. There are also local dishes and a fantastic dessert buffet. The staff are friendly and courteous, speak several languages (English, German and/or French) and are responsive to requests. On Saturday there was a short show (dancing) and the massage and shopping offers are pointed out, but the requests are unobtrusive. There are three small beaches, so the guests are well distributed. Only the pool area seems to be very busy at times (which doesn't bother us as we don't use it) and the sun loungers are already reserved with towels in the morning. A well-kept and quiet accommodation, the guests come for diving and snorkeling, mainly from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France. We also occasionally met guests from English-speaking countries or Egypt.
The highlight is the diving center: the "Ducks" have built a super great and modern diving station with a lot of love. There is plenty of shade, seating, washing and storage areas as well as a 3D model of the house reef! The "Ducks" offer a wide range of diving options (with/without a guide, directly on the house reef with various dive profiles, by speedboat, day and half-day trips, early morning and night diving as well as courses that take place in open water and, if required, in the pool). As usual, the staff are helpful and friendly, and some of the former dive center employees have been taken on and integrated perfectly into the existing team. The former employees of the "Ducks" have come to the new location and are very happy to welcome both regular guests and new guests. Everyone at the diving center as well as on the jetty, boat and speedboat is friendly, helpful and competent as usual. The rental equipment is in good condition and the emphasis is on high quality.
As the hotel has significantly more guests than the previous "Ducks" location, the dive center was busy at some times compared to the former location. The advantage of this, however, is that there are often free "buddies" who are available for an early morning dive, for example, if your own buddy wants to sleep in. In addition, the list system (for registering) makes it easier for divers without a buddy to join a diving group or find a buddy. If you are a little flexible in terms of meal times, you can avoid the peak times and have the dive center to yourself.
