The dive sites are truly impressive, especially all the marine life and just how tiny it is. Hats off to the guides for finding these spots—and doing so with such precision.
The setup is a guide/buddy team, which is essentially very well-organized private diving.
The logistics for the trips out are tightly scheduled, but this is communicated in advance—it’s just not for “laid-back divers,” but that’s absolutely fine. ;)
This also means everything is well-organized; the equipment is always already on board, and everything is top-notch.
There were a few communication issues here and there with one or two guides, but we were able to coordinate with other guides in the team as needed. On the other hand, they were all super helpful and resourceful when it came to assembling the equipment (I’d forgotten the screw connection for the light remote). That was fixed quickly.
And the most important things on the bucket list—like tiny frogfish, Shawn the Sheep, the Lembeh sea dragon, etc.—were all found. Including a very active pair of blue-ringed octopuses, mandarin fish, and more.
