A few months before our trip , the Nakari reef was flooded by mud from the mountains during an extreme weather incident , causing the first half of north and south reef to be covered in sand. Obviously this makes for poor diving , but taking the zodiac out to the outside of the reef is fine. The crew at Nakari did a great job by alowing us 1 dive a day to a zone-b reef without additional costs , so we still had many great dives. It will take some time for the reef to recover, and make the house reef as beautiful as it was two years ago.
