My third trip on the AMIRA, this time to the Forgotten Islands, was the most spectacular thing I have ever experienced in my diving career. Spectacular in all respects and at all times. I will certainly be flashed by these impressions above and below the water for a long time to come.
It starts with the excellent travel planning by Aquaventure. At no point during the trip did the feeling arise that something might not work out. Even the 4-hour drive to the end (closed due to the volcanic airport in Maumere) would actually have been subject to entertainment tax (impressions of the country, roads that are not roads).
There's not really much to say about the AMIRA, except that Nora and Kai regularly manage to motivate the crew in such a way that as a guest you always have the feeling that you are the only guest of the year. The AMIRA is a reason in itself to make a trip to Indonesia. The ship, the space, the ambience, the food, the crew - it's amazing.
The tour - what can I say: we are anchored in front of an active volcano, there is smoke above and we are diving in the lava sand below. Could it get any more spectacular? Underwater world, corals, fish, etc. - mega.
The whole thing was topped off by the fact that we had 2 professional animal and underwater filmmakers in our group of 4 divers. Mega relaxed, super fun and totally inspiring?
In addition to these 2 "underwater brains", the other guests were also very relaxed and everything came together very harmoniously.
Have I forgotten something?
