A super nice hotel with a great dive center. The hotel has actually everything (pool, fitness center, food selection, facility, location, sea access), for which you can give 5 stars. Everything except room and service is perfect.
Have already tried in advance to book a so-called cliff room, but unfortunately there was none free. Also on arrival this was not possible. I would have paid a lot more for a larger room. The standard double room is much too small and has no storage facilities and little storage space. Handling UW photo equipment was impossible there. Also in view of the many recreational possibilities of the island (hiking, diving, etc.) which requires the appropriate equipment, one can speak of a complete misconstruction of the room size of the recently completed hotel. The reele room size has also unfortunately not been possible in advance despite intensive research. The equipment is modern (USB charging options), only size of the standard rooms or lack of availability of larger rooms leads to the corresponding rating.
Now to the service: as already said a super hotel, which unfortunately has clear cutbacks in service. At the breakfast buffet things were already one hour before the end of the buffet time no longer replenished. When asked, I was told to just come earlier. After I made it clear what I thought of it, they suddenly brought me a smoothie after all. By the way, the ready, prepared, fully filled pot was clearly visible in the kitchen the whole time (but was ev already prepared for another occasion).
In the 2 weeks of stay, my friend ordered a cappuccino every breakfast (there was only filter coffee at the buffet). For this, he had to actively approach the service staff every day, who always scowled. It didn't cost anything, but would have been willing to pay the extra price if active service had been offered in return. Furthermore, I was never asked in this context whether I would like to have something. Similar things happened in the other gastronomic areas of the hotel.
What was devastating about the whole thing was the fact that they were able to do much more, but only when the hotel manager was around. Typical leadership theme.
Also, our transfer to the airport booked in advance with the hotel was forgotten. Then asked where our transfer was. The lady at the front desk did not know I understood her as she then quickly called the cab. She told me the cab was late. The driver then complained loudly about the hotel because she was not told. Absolutely unprofessional.
Would I go there again? If I get a cliff room, definitely yes.
