For us, a "fully equipped" family of four divers who only needed tanks and weights, the small (German-speaking!) dive center, run by Michael "Mike" Duss, worked out absolutely perfectly.
There were always enough tanks available for our group of nearly 20 divers, each with a no-limit Nitrox(!) dive package, at any(!) time of day or night.
I thought Mike really had that under control.
One of our own(!) dive computers gave out during our stay, and we were able to borrow a replacement without any trouble. Great—thank you!
Note: Anyone who doesn’t own or bring a suitable neoprene (diving) wetsuit should be prepared to accept that there are only 2–3 mm (thin) shorties available for rent on site.
That would simply be too cold for me—for dives that usually last about an hour, with water temperatures of 26–28°C—which was also (as expected) felt and confirmed by one or two others in our group who were in the same situation. This is (admittedly) also stated in the rental information online and should be taken into account based on personal needs. ;-)
My family and I had a lot of fun there; everything worked out great (as mentioned) and we’d definitely go back.
The house reef with the Bio-Rock, or rather the entire coastal strip in front of the entire 'Sun Reef Village' vacation home complex (and beyond!) that can be fully explored by diving, is absolutely worth seeing and, in our opinion, has more than enough interesting things to offer, as well as the occasional daily 'surprise.'
